Like the title says...

So, now that I'm driving the van, I'm hearing all the squeaking underneath.

what, in y'all's experience, opinion, are the rubber parts that need to be replaced? I'm figuring there's a bunch of suspension stuff, but lay it on me!

A 3+ decade old vehicle can give up ghost on most everything. I'd start with spaying everything that moves with silicon penetrating lube. If that works to hush it up, cool. If not, I'd recommend loosing the bolts on the stressed parts and giving it a slow speed test drive.

TBC,

I forgot the easiest diagnostic tool, a friend to run around inside the van while you drive to help pin point the source of the sound(s).

I had a lot of squeaking in my '87, especially going over speed bumps. A few months I replaced the front anti-sway bar and the bushings. The squeaking in my van is now very minimal.

I have replaced my UCABs to Lemforder in the easter holidays. After ~2000kms one of them squeaks.
New parts nowadays are crap.

Try tightening the crap out out of the lower shock bolts, after replacement they never seem to get tightened enough.

Check the condition of the bushings. Control arms, ball joints, sway bar, radius rod. Slowly start replacing them, put on bushing snot or equivalent.

it's the same noise and it was immediate. i think something is bent causing the increased friction at some point.

Agreed. Plus they are all shot by now anyway, old AF bushings.

Mine was sway arm bushings. Drop them down, insert lube, done deal.

Personally for me it's "start with the easiest."

Our 89 Westy squeaked, creaked and groaned like an old bed during a porno shoot until we changed the upper control arm bushings and front R/L upper ball joints. Now it's quiet! (the suspension is, anyway).
