It seems that prior to the introduction of the standard 6" by 12" license plate in 1956 different states had different license plate sizes and bolt patterns. In Washington state we had our old standard size used for a number of years, from '54 back into the late '30's at least. The older years had 4 slotted holes for attachment but from '50 to '55 they had 4 round holes.
What is the bolt pattern for those 4 holes? I have an old "Washington The Evergreen State" novelty plate I want to run up front. It looks to be the same size as the Washington license plates of the time and has 4 slotted holes like older ones. I would like to make a bracket for it with the standard '50-'55 WA license plate bolt pattern. Thank you! _________________

As a general rule, cheap parts are the most expensive parts you can buy. |
