First errand with Old Blue after putting her back on the road. Took Momma to get garden supplies.

Drove my 74 love bug to work today, 60 miles each way, no issues. |

Drove mine today 65 miles across Houston and back. It was over 90º during the entire trip and she did fantastic (I, on the other hand...). My longest drive yet since getting it back on the road. _________________ 1975 VW La Grande Bug (Super Beetle, 1600 EFI, owned since May 2021) |

And hey, another decent drive this evening. We had some rain and it dropped the temps from 100° to 82° and that was perfect for a nice cruise.

Great pictures Plextor. I went out today and grabbed some takeout Hawaiian food. And completed a VW Fun Challenge. It’s F’ing hot by Portland, Oregon PNW norms. 94* out.

Hey brudda!
Those racing numbers can be cleaned off with some rubbing alcohol.
I removed mine this morning before the drive to work. _________________ I have learned over the years.

Cleaned the numbers off and went for a WashCo back road jaunt. Those roads are perfect for a 1600. |

Dang it. I’m a hair over 1600cc. So I’m not allowed. I’ll stick to the freeways

I drove my 1971 convertible to dinner with my youngest daughter last night, and to softball this morning. I admit I did hit 80mph speedometer on the freeway, but mine has 14" mag wheels so slightly smaller diameter. _________________ 1970 VW (owned since 1972) and 1971 VW Convertible (owned since 1976), second owner of each. Drove to a neighborhood 7/4 picnic.
And at an earlier stop, this feline decided to use ol' '73 as a lookout.

About 1/2 way through summer trip. NJ to Glacier, Montana via Canada over the Great Lakes. Fuel filter (FI) cracked on the pump side leaking gas. Replaced with spare and all good. 1 qt of oil about every 900 miles. Turned 100,000 miles today. About 2900mi so far. Pics:

It's been hot in southeast texas... like 104º hot. But today it rained in the afternoon, and dropped the temps into the high 80s around 6pm. So that sounds like a perfect time to go make some natural A/C the old fashioned way.
