Or leave the nut on, or use a soft punch to drive bolts out. Rolling Eyes

Will a half inch bolt (12.5) work or do I need to see spend the money on 12mm? 12mm is three times the price.

Not cheaper if 1/2 inch doesn't fit through the holes !!!

I believe 1/2 in. will work, built Baja's decades ago, and used SHCS for shock bolts, try one and see.

Total cost at Lowe's was just under $18.00 for four bolts, 10 washers, and 6 nuts. Washers and nuts were in sets (5 washers per pack and 3 nuts per pack).

1/2 inch will not fit, and is too large. The tolerance is too tight. I used M12 1.75 80mm. I was concerned about the length, but 80mm is the correct length for what I was working on - 68 Bug.
