Use some Bondo then paint it to match. If it works on cars, it should work on turtles. _________________ Oprn wrote: I'm getting to the age that any self propelled woman (no wheel chair or walker) looks HOT!! Oooo! look at that Babe! Bondo does not work as a glue....only as a surface filler....even cracks on a vehicle have to be welded first then Bondo placed on TOP. |

Try thermal concrete. Dr. McCoy used it successfully to patch a hole cut in a horta by a phaser.

Fiberglass resin and cut the matting material to fit. (Dont put it all over, just the crack line, about 1 inch, on either side of crack. I have done several that I have been able to return to the wild. |
Sounds like the right approach.. http://www.anapsid.org/shellrepair.html
Trully terrible that someone might have done that deliberately though. _________________ Andy

All joking aside.
Is there an update on the turtles condition Calvin?
There were a couple of good recommendations early on in this thread, for the shell repair. _________________ I have learned over the years.

My boys and I have stopped several times to put turtles across tge road in tge direction they were heading. The last time was a big snapper, the hard stop blew out a rusty brake line in my BIL' Landover Disco. Cost him a small fortune, I had the AAA card for the tow...

The center ridge on that shell is their spine, are you sure that the cord isn’t severed? Does it appear that the hind quarters are functioning? If not, put the poor thing out of it’s misery. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.
