Just acquired is a package deal. Real Acapulco, no surrey top or running boards. I have the fenders although not shown.
What do you guys think, part out or sell as a project?
Obviously needs rockers and a bit more metal work.

It's got to go, the fleet is now up to 8 Volkswagens, trying to keep it at 5 or less. _________________ Old City Oil Drippers Northeast |

Booch, I think we may have met a few years back. Did you have a yellow Thing for sale in North Wales/Lansdale area? I was driving a blue Bus. _________________ - 1977 CEI Sunroof Bus 2.0L F.I. Hydraulic Lifters

I drive a yellow Thing with black fenders. I did have a white Thing for sale a few years ago out of Lansdale. _________________ Old City Oil Drippers Northeast |

I’m all for saving it, either by you or someone else. BUT, if you are going to part it out, let me know. I could use some of the sheet metal under the rear seat and the upper rear storage tray. _________________ - 1977 CEI Sunroof Bus 2.0L F.I. Hydraulic Lifters

Nope, but I have 5 other "regular" Things.
Took a better look at it today, it is A LOT of work. Probably going to use parts to fix two of my others and sell whatever I don't need. _________________ Old City Oil Drippers Northeast |

It comes down to time versus money, and that's a personal choice for you. If you want to maximize what you can get out it, you part it out for as long as it's worth it to you; then offer what's left for anyone willing to haul it off for free. If the effort is too great for the return you would get, you should package it.
Good luck.
(What I would do is unimportant, and what I would suggest for you would require me to know you and your situation. However, since you said you have eight VWs and would like to get to five at most, I think project sale is my best suggestion.) _________________ Now: 2003 New Beetle Turbo S / 1990 Single Cab Transporter / 2014 Tiguan R-Line 4motion / 2013 Tiguan S / 2002 Golf GLS TDI
