the rack and tyres are the crowning gory on your car, but dare i say you really need to double the number of carbs and exhaust tips to be truely "finished". 😁 |

Slow! Haha. I stick around 80-90, I’m not in a rush. Hills suck, but overall not too bad. I didn’t build it to go fast. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

Got motivated to get the twin filter system going on the 36er, wasn’t too much of a struggle to get in. Just quietly I think they look nice.

Awesome! I'm sure that will add another 3-4% to the power.

Saw this Australian Lukey Muffler in a marketplace ad in 2001 and asked if they would sell it separately. Fast forward to 2024 and they have it up finally.
Wasn’t as bad as what I thought it would be, but it still needed a lot of damage repair and modification to work with the 36 hp.
First things first, I’m not a ticketed welder or exhaust manufacturer, but I built this car myself and with things around the house, so the exhaust was no exception to that rule!
When I finally got it on the car, there was a small exhaust leak, because one of the primary inlets wasn’t married up properly, tightened up the nuts, and if we went. Has a nice deep rumble to it, compared to the original style muffler. Need to figure out how to upload a video of it.

Nice job on the muffler! Love seeing an old used part get revived!
How often are you ripping up the sidewalks on that board of yours? I skateboard daily, out to the 70 Bug everyday! Been skating since I was 5, never stopped! However, my hip sockets are starting to show damage from the effects of it. Maybe I can just weld in some new socket material and keep going!
Love your story! _________________ Jimbo

This car just gets better and betterer! I have been thinking of asking a local exhaust maker to see if he could replicate a Lukey for me... |
