has anyone looked into running this stuff in waterboxers? My buddy swears by it... he uses it in pretty hot 16v cars, one's been a daily driver several years.

Never heard of the stuff, sounds like a good idea though. I wonder how well it is compatible with those finicky Vanagon head gaskets. Plus, in a Vanagon, you'll need a lot of it, and at 27 dollars a gallon, it might get expensive if you ever do have leaks.

I would think it is more suited for racing. Sure, you can use it but will you get any noticeable benefits? Water Wetter is kind of a similar product and much cheaper.

in my eyes the major benefit is that it doesn't operate under pressure, so there would be less leaks... and I believe its a better corrosion inhibitor, another plus for the leaky headgasket issue.

Unlike water wetter, NPG coolant contans no water at all. you have to empty out the entire cooling system in order to use it.

It boils at 369'F at atmospheric pressure.

it is rather spendy though... but I think one would see less cooling system leaks.
