They rev really fast, from my understanding, but can easily oval out the dowel pin holes under heavy shock loads. I had one hanging on the wall for years that I pulled off of a 1500 that came in a junked out Kelmark GT looking thing. It was very, very worn, and had significant signs of galling (probably from a metallic disc?) on the clutch surface. I had planned to have it resurfaced but the shops in the area at the time wouldn't touch it so it went with a bunch of other parts when I sold of a lot of my old school collection.

Would be interesting to run one on A 1300-1385 type small bore project in a lightweight kit car or Formula Vee, but I can't imagine it would be all that great in a full weight sedan or more people would have been producing and using them.

Not sure I would use one without eight dowels and a really wide gland nut/washer combo.

Affordable enough when they come up-

I had a aluminum flywheel that was 3 piece, it was a flat steel machined plate with the hub to bolt to the crank, it had a aluminum ring that bolted from the back to the plate and it was machined for a starter ring gear. I was told it was made by Bugpack, Gave it to a buddy and never saw it again.

I bought a used 1850cc motor in the mid eighties which had an ally flywheel.
Similar to earthquakes it was a three piece with a steel ring gear and clutch surface, I was told it was made by Crown. The motor revved like mad.
Sold the car with motor, but believe the flywheel is still around somewhere in the UK.
