Can’t seem to source a pair. Anyone have any links or suppliers? Thanks!

You’re awesome! Thanks!
I even did a search. But I did “double barrel manifold”. Should have kept it simple. Manifold. Lol
Thanks a lot!! _________________ Volkswagen Locksmith

If you are using a carburetor you'll want to skip using that black thermo-isolating spacer (there is a proper name for them but escapes me at this time) and let the heat of the heads get to the intake runners. I believe the intent of those things is for FI which benefits from keeping the air cool but for carbs which have air&fuel traveling down the pipes, hotter is better. |

Indeed, but those Progressive manifolds are so shitty and thin you can't use the thin metal gaskets carb manifolds use, the flanges warp just pushing them over the studs.
Home made cork are the only thin(ish) gaskets I've ever had any long term luck with. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I only found about NOT using the spacer after I got rid of the progressive and went with a pair of IDFs so no experience with the dealing with the leaks or how the engine responded to them being present or not.
At the end of my time using the progressive I had stuffed a double female PVC pipe fitting into the heat source for the stock manifold in my '72, connected a type 1 heater hose to it and ran it into a box I built around the air filter. It was originally designed to minimize carb icing but in even in the heat of summer, the engine was more responsive and had less stumble having the hotter air reducing the fuel condensing out of the air/fuel mix as it travelled down those long pipes. |

Which is why years ago I made a set using FI manifolds for my progressive. My design is very close to what VW used on their centermount industrial engine manifolds, but it shouldn't be hard to take the double runner FI manifolds and make them work with the center section of the typical progressive manifold. Instead of using the Type 1 dual port boots, I used short pieces of fuel filler hose as boots. Those boots are now over 40 years old, so way superior to the problematic Type 1 boots. |
