Hello,

We're installing a standard 1967 wire loom in my friend's brasilian split.
We have 2 wires that should go to the voltage regulator, and afterwards to the generator. Although, he's running an alternator and he never had the voltage regulator before.

this is the diagram that came with the loom:

Can we just connect the red wire straight to the battery and connect green with blue as shown on this diagram with regulator?

Yes.

The light bulb that is connected to the blue wire must be working. The light bulb initiates the exciter of the alternator which starts the amps.
