Just a little something I was thinking about.
If a chrome wheel was sandblasted would it be enough for the powder coating to adhere to?

Yes the powder needs a tooth to adhere to, so the more aggressive the material the better (black beauty).

You can powder coat over shiny chrome with transluscent colors, or pearls, but they wouldn't be tough enough for daily driving wheels.

LOL I just found a picture of some of my parts powder coated 15 or so years ago with eastwoods transluscent red in an amazon ad
