I have fire on every plug and the distributor drive gear is correct per TDC on the compression stroke. But still nothing happens 😕

Why would the slots be covered anyways? I bought it this way and it's not the buggy that won't run its the one in the original post. I now have fire to all 4 cylinders, tdc on #1, rotor pointed at the front or towards #2 spark plug, spark plug wires are set to have the #1 at the position pointing towards #2 and still not cranking. Turns over but will not crank. I've just about gave up on this darn thing
