Six Heater Under Dash? What is it?

Looking at purchasing a '67 that states it has this kind of heater under the dash. What is it and how well does it work?

You might want to add more details and/or pictures to your question because there were several aftermarket gas heaters available for Beetles over the years.

Yeah, without photos, "six heater" is pretty non-descriptive!

It's in a '67 Bug. I don't have the car but am considering buying it. Here's a two image shot of it from a video the seller sent me.

Aircooled VW's have heater boxes bringing forced air heat forward to the cabin. There is a lever between the seats for adjusting heat output. Mine heat up much quicker than my pickup heater! I don't think that is a VW heater in your pictures?

is it an electric heater? if so it's either going to be ineffective or drain the battery
