Widest tires for 5.5x15 EMPI Sprint Stars on EMPI IMP

Been a while since I posted here but my EMPI IMP build is gaining momentum. I’m ready to get the original sprint stars on the chassis but I need some suggestions on tire size.

I have a set of four 5.5x15 4 bolt Sprint Stars for my EMPI IMP. What is the largest tire size I can go with on the rear wheels? This is a street buggy with some beach driving (flat sand, no dunes, no racing) Thanks for the suggestions!

If you are sticking with tire manufacturers specs typically the largest tires would be 205/50, 205/60, 215/70, or 215/75. The 215/75 is the tallest but will usually have the narrowest tread. The 205/50 is a lot shorter than the stock Bug tire but has a wide tread face.

I ran 215/65/15 on my sprintstars and they fit really well. Still run them on 6" Centerlines.
