My turn signals work properly, but the indicator light on the 68 speedo only flashes once when I turn on the blinker. The indicator flashes properly with the emergency flashers. Thoughts?

Seems odd but my money is on the emergency flasher switch since that is what feeds the turn signal indicator light.
Surprisingly, I can’t remember what happens when one of the bulbs are out but something is tickling my brain about that.

On my ghia, the indicator light wire goes to a relay of some sort mounted on a vertical support in front of the clock.

That relay mounted on the vertical post is the Flasher Relay. If bad, you will need to replace. However, as Jeffrey stated, you may want to check the various bulbs. Sometimes one going out can cause your problem. You may want to check and clean all the connection points as well, connectors to relays, at fuse panel, where bulbs 'touch', grounds, etc. Also the little piece where the bulb goes into and locks into the speedo, sometimes those have problems grounding.
