Been frustrated trying to get the old lady to meet with me in the presence of a notary to sign a couple of forms.
Claims she never leaves the house but never answers her phone.
Finally sent her a letter with the forms and a $100.00 money order for her trouble.
She can go to DMV to sign the forms and keep the whole $100.00, or call the notary to come to her house and pay him $50.00.
Been a week but I have heard nothing from her.
Mail is one day and I included a stamped and addressed envelope.
Not sure how long to wait before asking for a refund on the MO. |

Apparently in your world, the mail works as it should. Typical delivery of mail where I live is 7-10 days from post mark date. And if it was sent from local to me, it has to go about 100 miles away to get a post mark. I've seen 10 days for an item sent from 1 mile from my house. Would have been far quicker to have dropped it by.
Your response may well be in the mail. _________________ Richard

Still no response from her.
If nothing by the end of this week I will try to find out if she cashed the MO.
She may have died for all I know.
Long drive to try to visit her.
If she did die the forms may be simpler? |

Had it fired up.
Not running as well as I had hoped for.
Thinking 36mm chokes on 44 IDF's may be a bit big.
Thinking of dropping to 32's. |

I think so. I am running 40 mm carbs with 31 mm vents on my 1911 type 4 engine. _________________ We had the stone age, the bronze age, the industrial age and now we are in the age of mass deception and mind control for corporate profit. (The mass media age) |

After speaking to Randy at Redline I ordered a 702IDF-2 idle jet kit.
And a new synchrometer since the one I had has disappeared. |

Cut a set of access holes in the aluminum side panels for easy access to the carb adjustment screws.
Changed idle jets from #50 to #55.
It will now idle once it has warmed up some.
Need to be able to get it outside for more tuning. |

While the engine is cold and doesn't want to idle, use a Mexican fast idle cam at the throttle arm stop. It's piece of used/cut or even new zip tie stuck in there. Usually have to have one person inside operating the throttle until you get the zip tie in place and the throttle sitting against it. _________________ Richard

Finally got the MGB I have been working on to the point that it has been test driven and moved out of the shop space.
Now I may finally work on tuning the buggy at the doorway, without killing myself.
Have to order a bus type or aftermarket fluid reservoir, the old one shattered when I tried to put it on the new MC.
Really anxious to get the seats mounted and the buggy driving.
Even if the title continues to be a hassle I am surrounded by BLM hills.
Need it outside so that I may begin seriously working on my 68 El Camino.
Yep, I play with all sorts of cars. |

After over a year of effort I may finally be near to getting the title for the buggy.
Once I have it I will get back to trying to make it a runner. |
