Hello all im looking to finish up an old project. Its a 69 standard. It has empi drop spindles on it currently and i would like to swap to disc brakes. Is there a kit that will work with my current setup or do i need a whole kit with new spindles. Thank you

I don’t think the brake kits are specific to drop spindles or not. Whoever you order them through ask them about it but I don’t think they’re specific.

You will need to get new spindles. The conversion bracket will not fit your existing spindles.

Do the spindles have a mount for the caliper?
Recently made spindles probably do.
Empi has been around a long time.

The bolt on kits don’t fit lowered spindles.

Vdub engineering has brackets for loered drum spindles. They fit wilwood caliprrs and std vw ghia rotor.
