Weezle - I've used that shim kit for the pulley, successfully. It was a few years back on my '72 Super I sold in 2018, so I don't remember too many details, except that it did resolve my issue. I had one of those after-market degreed pulleys and it was out of whack enough that I had to shim the alternator pulley. I never threw the fan belt, but I didn't have an AC. Was definitely shaving the belt before I added the shims, I remember the alternator face being covered w/rubber dust from the belt rubbing.
Btw....going to be in your neighborhood soon, driving to Miami [EDIT] in the Super for TG, stopping in bOrlando at my brother's place. Good time to do the road trip, not too hot. _________________ Eventually, "we are what we pretend to be.’”

Belt stayed on last drive. I think if I don't run it to redline 6500rpm it may stay on. I really want to drive it to bug jam this weekend. _________________ I got a fever, and the only prescription is more beetles!
