And the Autobahn tires are looking very nice and fill out the wheel cut offs from the fender as it should look like.
I also would like to use these tires, but our beetles are daily drivers and I fear getting in trouble during rain using these. And the price is far away from what I can afford!

So I use Toyo 155 R15, as they have an inconspicuous appearence.
Nice pictures and also the video. Thank you very much and have a good new year. |

Can you polish and wax the ivory portion of the wheels to reduce some of that surface rust ? |
I don't know, i love the look of og paint patina 2 tones wheels.

Ha ha, must think of Raisedup58 seeing this...
Thank you very much for taking the time and open this thread about your beautiful little car.
In the background of one picture there are rails to find - are these from the "train de pignes"? |
Obviously based on this picture you can tell I love any original paint wheel. That is only a very small part of my collection.
This car is unbelievably nice, and I’m glad to see you are leaving it stock. If you need some pointers on how to help your wheels send me a PM. _________________ L245 Original Paint Light Bronze 1958 Ragtop

Yes there are expensive, but perfect for early beetle, i also had Toyo 155 R15 at the beginning but they were too wide and not high enough for me.

Little upgrade today.
An old damaged aluminum suitcase found in a flea market = Ideal for storing all the mess in the trunk
Inside, finally a rubber on the shifter, since the time that it bothered me.

Wanted to thank you in particular for the pictures of the original interior cloth and headliner. I have (had) the same fabric in my Fjord Blue early '59 and sadly had to remove it. Mine was too deteriorated to photograph well. Please add it to the gallery as there are few references for those who need to recreate the stock look from custom fabric. _________________ 59 Fjord Blue Beetle #2117358 Eng. #2447594
