What is unfortunate for me is, your state taxes are higher than mine, yet I'm paying significantly more per gallon. I would bet the raw fuel cost is within pennies. |
Yeah, I don’t get that. Massive competition on mid Long Island. There are also pockets of arbitrary wealth where gas can by $4.80 and 3 miles away it’s 3.80.

I just paid $2.00/ liter for diesel in Prince George BC. The only upside is that I got 1008 km out of that tank so far and the empty light is not on yet. It's a 55 liter tank so I will see tomorrow how much of that I used.

$6.419 for ethanol-free 91 yesterday. $33.09 to fill the moto.
87 octane ethanol swill is right around $4.99 now and hopefully will trend down by the time I have to fill the truck. I'm hoping for less than $100 on the next tank.

It took 48.3 liters and the odometer was at 1080 so that works out to 61 mpg.
Glad we didn't use the Dodge 3500 for that trip!

Just filled my beater Toyota work truck. $4.39 for ethanol crap. It was $4.59 on Saturday.

I saw $3.07 at Wallyworld today. $3.19 at the place that usually has the lowest prices. They will probably match that in the next 24 hours.

$4.35 here in town today, but I had to drive 30 miles North for a delivery, and saw $3.80. I mentioned this to the manager at my local station this afternoon, and he said "they will be going back up soon". Didn't get a chance to ask him if he knows something we don't.

I know him pretty well, and I highly doubt that. My guess is it might be something with regional distributor issues.

Back up a Dime to $3.69 I think the local super market drops his prices to draw people in the store , then the gas station next door has to follow , seem every wknd he does this , then ups the price on Sunday afternoon ( cuz he know Peps are going back downstate to work )
