I'm surprised no comments about this one? is it a very early white top in addition to the larger side windows?

It has so many things going for it and so early in the scheme of things. I looovvveee it.

This bus, and the other ones like this have been discussed in this thread:
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=649306

it looks just like all the other Kohlruss coachbuilt buses.

I've seen some of the photos from this series, but damn, what a great bus! PG/SG Euro Semaphore sunroof standard. One of my all time favorite buses!

While this is a great old pic and beautiful bus with a gay group of passengers, it is NOT an Alpine bus. HH means Hansestadt Hamburg ( northern coastal part of Germany ) and the shop in the background says Strasbourg, so this is Eastern France close to German border and about at least 200 miles away from the Alpine regions, jfyi.

Sure does, it looks like a TAXI sign on the roof, maybe it's loaded to the tits and braking hard?, or passing through a dip in the road?
