VW Nationals 8 is happening again in 2022!This year KPtuned is the title sponsor and it is being presented by Deutschwurx.
It actually begins Friday August 12 when gates open at 4pm and we kick things off with test and tune and High Roller bracket class.
But even before that, Cookers Vdubs in Williamsport will be hosting an open house at their shop. Located not far from the track, this is a great way to officially kick off the weekend.
Saturday the 13th is the main event!! Gates will open at 8am and this year ALL VWs will be parked on the far side of the track (show and swap meet also).
We will feature the following race classes--
Pro Mod ---- 1/8 mile, heads up, any VW or Audi powered door slammer.
ASA--- 1/8 mile, heads up, air cooled street legal VWs. Will follow all ASA rules
All Motor--- 1/4 mile, heads up, naturally aspirated VW and Audi powered door slammer.
Limited Street--- 1/4 mile, heads up, VW and Audi powered cars that will follow a set of rules to be announced later. Meant for fast street style vehicles.
Super Pro-- 1/8 mile, bracket, 7.99 and faster VW and Audi powered
Pro-- 1/8 mile, bracket, 8.00 an slower, VW and Audi powered.
Super Stock-- 1/4 mile, bracket, any E.T, can be VW/Audi/Porsche powered or bodied.
Car Show will be Top 20 plus specialty awards.
Swap Meet spaces will be available also. We do not specify a size spot, just please be respectful. We will be working on giving the show cars and swap more room also.
Below you will see we are also raffling off a sandrail drag car...turnkey with trailer too! Tickets are $40 each. Maximum 200 sold, no minimum. You do not need to be there to win but the buggy must be picked up with in 2 weeks of the event completion. Paypal is [email protected] and include phone number and address.

Can't wait for the show!
Just curious, will the super stick cars be there this year or strictly VW's? |

The stick shift class will be there too. It’s a good compliment to the VWs and gives us time to cool down between rounds |

I want to thank everyone who showed up and supported the event.
Friday night started off with great weather and a lot more people at the track than I was expecting. There was racing, hanging out and a lot of socializing.
Saturday rolled in and we had our first swap meet vendor at 7am. The swap wound up being bigger than ever along with the car show. We stopped registration at 1130 and had 115 registered show cars.
Racing was down a little but I knew that would be the case with so many people waiting on parts. We still had a really strong field of cars regardless. Minimal breakage and a constant flow of cars down the track.
We do have some issues we need to fix. One is car show parking. I had made a bigger area than years past but it was not enough. The number of cars was a lot...which is good.
We will also work on handing out show registration papers as you pull in to park to make it easier. I also need more people to help out. We have outgrown using just three people for sure.
See you in 2023! |
