A small cloth to protect the face. Two spoons with the tips under the needles and backs resting on the cloth. Push down on the spoon handles to apply a controlled force on the needles
The needles push on. Has someone done something like glue your's on?

Nicholas

The needles are press fit onto the spindle. When I removed them from my clock to convert it into a tach, I used a fork. Slide the fork under the needles so that the spindle is between the fork teeth, then pull upward. If you plan on re-using the clock internals, make sure you pull straight upward and not sideways or you'll bend the spindle. This also works with speedo needles.
