Can anyone tell for certain whether or not these are early pop outs that will fit my 1955 Type 1?

Looks like early pop outs to me. Later pop outs has the latch attached to the glass and early pop outs the latch is attached to the frame. _________________ Joey

It's the difference between being a purist and having affordable popouts on your car.
If you are looking for a 100-point correct car, you will need the smooth frames. If you want good-loong affordable popouts, those will work fine. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.

I appreciate all of the responses. I don't think I'd ever fit in any category of purist...pragmatist maybe. Doing what I can with what I have (skillset, tools, time and a fairly complete car with rust issues) I'm just trying to get my old friend back on the road as a daily driver and some enhancements along the way just make sense. Popouts are kind of a no brainer for me... |
