Wow. neat work! I would never have found your story without the new Vintage Speed link.

X2! That looks awesome, I cant believe you actually got it to work, and it even sounded a relatively painless job to synchronise it all!

Si.

Simon, it's the adjustable jet ablilities of the Tillotsons that make it viable. I just have to turn a screw to change the jet on the fly.

Goilad would be great! You might want to contact them and see if, since your car is basically "underpowered" with a low theoretical top speed compared to most that race their, if with your top up, they woud require any bar type device. To date we have not had a 36hp Challenger make a pass down the Goliad mile however a well respected Dubber up in Oklahoma has indicated he is putting together a bug and will attempt his 36hp Challenge their in 2009.

Thats one of the great things about the Challenge, there are one mile land speed racing venues in all three portions of the US, the east, the mid-west and the west making it "close" for everyone.

If you would like to get more details, contact me by email.

Keep cruisin and God Speed...........

What determines when the dual carbs kick in?

The spring on the center linkage arm. The tighter you adjust the sooner it kicks in or looser the later it kicks in, then the amount of fuel is metered through the adjustable jets in the Tillotsons.

Dont s'pose you would have any detail photos of the spring action at all???
