Back in 2016 I bought a set of RDW's from Randee Randar. At the time I was in a hurry to get them mounted and bought the set of lugs that could get there the fastest. But, fast forward 6 years and they have not faired well.

I bought a non marring impact socket around 2018, but maybe the damage was already done. Or maybe the Empi lugs are garbage like everything else they make..
These are 12x1.5 with a flat mag style base and washer, can anyone recommend a better quality lug with plating that will last? I considered changing the wheels to use a standard tapered or conical seat but it would be a complicated endeavor, rather not make problems if I don't have to...
Any thoughts are appreciated.

In the market for lugnuts too.

I found this site in a thread,

They have to have something that will fit your need and quality.

I'm looking for something like the example from the page I posted. But with an open end for longer studs to pass through.

These look closer to what you are searching for. Copper, nickel, chrome plated.

I ended up buying lug nuts and shouldered nuts from my local wheel suppliers for my Bogart and CMS wheels. As I recall, I needed M14 x 1.5 for my 68 Beetle and was able to get White Knight and another brand locally.
