Would a 1970 shell be a direct bolt on to a 1977 pan as long as the pan? Have the chance to buy a 1977 pan that’s fresh and would be a cheaper and easier option then redoing my current one. Just not sure they are interchangeable.

Is the 1977 non-Super? For sure a Super Beetle pan won't fit.

The 77 had better be a standard. That was the last year VW imported the standard type one.
