A couple months ago, the turn signal innards broke on my 1973 Bus, and when I took it apart before rebuilding, I noticed that one of the tiny springs has gone missing.

I have been looking for a 9/32 x 1/8 x 0.018 spring ever since I noticed, with no luck whatsoever. Would appreciate either a source for a spring this small, or if someone happens to have a spare, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance!

I had something like that happen to me once with a tiny itsy bitsy spring that held a small ball bearing out on a NLA rare distributor. I decided to pray on it, and after about a minute to two of praying something said to me subconsciously walk into the garage, far corner where you never go, turn over the third or fourth piece of 2x4 you see and it will be there. Skeptical I did that.............. and it was there........ in a place with no explanation how it got there. True story.

If you have an idea where you may have lost it in general, pray on it, and if that fails, drag a magnet around on a string to see what it grabs. Or see if someone like Ken Madsen at TheBusco or Chris at BustedBus has a switch so bad that it could never be sold except for internal parts.

Just removed this from my 71. Not sure if it is the same spring but if so I can get one in the mail to you.

Just let me know.

I have found small items like springs outdoors at twilight when the sunlight glints off items on the ground. Or with a head band flashlight in the dark.

It is harder to find metal items with cloudy overcast daylight.

Maybe a section of a spring from a ball point pen?

The spring will be found a few days after you make the repair.
