I see where Ford regretfully has to raise the prices of 2023 F150 Lightning models to $52,000-$97,000 due to supplier shortages. What's more is that the range is reduced to 100 miles if you're towing a trailer. They've already got thousands of ICVs sitting in lots waiting for computer chips. If the government stays out of it, Ford will either be forced to lower prices or go out of business. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that its the latter.
They've got us by the balls. The auto companies got one and the oil companies have the other. |

Some people will freeze their butts off this winter...going wind or solar for power.
I like gas heat - and if that craps out, I got lots of logs for the fireplace. |

funny, the last price jump of 7k was exactly the same amount of the gov't subsidy to buy an EV

on 12/14/20 I paid 1.87/gallon for home heating oil. right now it's 5.09/gallon...more than double...almost triple what it was not even 2 years ago.
we usually do a tank/tank and a spit per year. I couldn't imagine if we had some pig of a house where you're calling every 4-6 weeks for oil.
I watched it like a hawk and grabbed it a few weeks ago a 3.90/gal. it was literally there for like 72 hours then jumped to 4.02, 4.16, 4,45 and as I write this it's five-oh-fucking-nine a gallon.
hope everyone shitting bricks can burn those bricks. OPECKER has our idiot in chief literally over a barrel. once a few elderly are found in their homes stiff as a frozen hot pocket we'll see if there are any changes _________________

Well, there would be a slight increase in the availability of used cars on the market. |

I quite like the Civic EV (the Honda E). It's slightly bonkers. _________________ Andy

$114,900. That's what I paid in 2015 for my 3 bed 2 bath house with 2 car garage sitting on 2.4 acres in Fl. Wish GM never got bailed out back in 2009. There would be more room for better automakers if they went under. |

Lucky you.
That would have been around £79K in 2015. At that time, the average UK property price was £272K. Bear in mind - that was our average.
In 2015, in the UK; £79K would have bought you a shit hole in a rough town with no land whatsoever.
What you're seeing today is just economics catching up with you. _________________ Andy

Point being that General Motors made an electric vehicle that cost as much as a house and how wasteful it is driving around in something that weighs almost 5 tons. Just like every other $80,000 mall crawler truck on the road. I was under the impression that electric vehicles were supposed to “save the environment.”
Not how “lucky” I was. And house prices where i live are cyclical. They’ll drop again. |

Funny how mainstream news can only verify one instance, but a social media post quoted by Fox claims "a ton."
Makes for a good story, but facts matter, too, or used to. |

The lame stream media wont report stuff like that. But here is a fact for you
Water required to put out an Ev fire -8000 gallons
Water required to put out an Ice fire -1000 gallons
California is water short already, but go ahead, lol |
