Tonight was a fun night, I was able to take some scrap metal I had and built the spare tire holder. I still need to do a lot of grinding and cleaning up of everything but I like the overall shape. The best thing is I’ve got $30 in the whole thing.

Typically I don’t have a lot of products that just wow me but tonight is the exception. the sealant I’m using to caulk between the fiberglass panels and steel frame is absolutely fantastic. I use tape to keep it where I wanted it, once I smoothed out with my finger I took a paintbrush with some thinner and brushed over it to smooth out the edges. Fantastic end product!

Tonight I finished sealing all the panels with the polyurethane seam sealer. I also mocked up the rear deck lid diamond plate and I’m working on final placement of the accessories on the back. I still need to find a spot for two Jerry cans, one for gas one for diesel. I also need a spot for some firewood.

I am pulling it out of the shop for final sanding. I’m also working on a fly fishing rod and reel holder to be mounted on the underside of the rack

For tonight‘s work I finished building the fly fishing rod and reel holder. Originally started with a plastic ammo box but found it was too flimsy so I switched to an old metal one I had around the house. Once it’s dry and the glue is set up I will prep it for paint when I paint the rest of the trailer. Next was the gas cans. I still need to clean up the welds and drill the holes for the mounting. Then get them ready for paint.

I’ve been looking and I haven’t found quite what I’m looking for. I want something unique that I can mount to the back end with a bracket and just bolt to the wall or the back deck lid. Any suggestions?

Nope Smile Just that I see lots of propane mounted where you mounted your gas tanks. Like on my travel trailer.

Single stage paint is completed on all the bronze color parts. First coat of the Epoxy primer is down but I ran out of product premixed so I have to wait till tomorrow to apply the second coat. Then after that basecoat clearcoat and I should be done in about another 12 hours worth of work.

I found a propane tank that should work. I went ahead and ordered it. Should be here in just over a week. I like this one because I don’t have to buy a mount plus I wanted more range than what a 10 gallon offered

What a busy 48 hours it’s been. Paint work is done and I’ve started assembly. I am way way happy with the paint results. Once the graphics get installed with all the accessories the tan will be a back drop. What do you all think?

Have you ever gone against your gut?? While traveling i found a 12V/ 120V powered refridge on FB marketplace. The add said brand new and for a decent deal. I asked that they plug it in before i arrived so i can see it cooling down. The compressor was running and it all seemed ok. Not real cool but it sounded ok. The garage it was in was in the 50's so i could not tell it wasnt working. My gut said i should walk away. I DIDNT TRUST MY GUT!! After getting it back to my hotel room i plugged it in and no go buffalo. Now i have a $200 cooler. Trust your instinks.

I’m glad to be back home. Tonight I installed the shower set up, waterline inlet, propane line inlet, and started marking up the kitchen. While I was away at work I was also able to get the tires mounted up and then installed in the spare tire holder. I put a radio antenna on, seals for the main door, and a handle so while opening up the side door I can pull against something.
