I believe the PO of my 72 bus with TIV engine was using heat exchangers from a 411 or 412.
Can anyone here confirm? I have been searching for pix of similar and cannot find.
I have 2 short tubes that come from the HE to the flapper, plus I have 1 flapper control box that also does not look familiar. I am asking cause I don't need these.
Thoughts ??

Yes, the exchangers and the tubes are from 411/ 412.
But the he flapper box looks very selfmade. _________________ Best Regards from Germany, the origin country of Volkswagen.

where could I find part numbers or others for sale? For Bus parts we have Jersey Looker that has scanned in micro-fiche exploded view drawings. Wonder where the 411/412 micro-fiche dwgs are.
Thanks for your reply. _________________ My Toys: '75 Porsche 914, '92 Ski Nautique and now a 1972 VW Transporter Deluxe (punch list fixing) |

You can find part nos here:
https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.com/catalogues/Typ4/html5.html#/5
Side note:
There are also another beefier type of heat exchangers for the 411/412, available as option from -72 on.

Im no expert i German language but
(5) says "Heat exchanger left"
and
5 says "Heat exchanger left from engine no W/Z/EA 0000001".
Same for (7) and 7 respectively.
