MITM Important Notice: The park is no longer allow personal BBQ pits, This includes propane fired stoves. We can use park BBQ pits currently installed and they have added a few around our show area. Sorry for the inconvenience but the park ranger will be onsite to enforce this rule, so please don't bring them.

We won't be having any food service, but we will have the big BBQ fired up in the usual spot if you want to use it.

Raffle Car will be announced early next year. We are already planning for next years even Smile

Meet us in the Middle for a gathering of VW enthusiasts from Southern and Central California. The location is beautiful Nojoqui Falls Park in Santa Barbara County. It is near the Danish style city of Solvang. Take the short hike up the trail to the falls that are usually flowing nicely this time of year.

Everyone we are just two weeks away from Meet in the Middle. A few things you want to watch for here or on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/vintagevwclub The park does not allow BBQ pits of any kind. The park has many throughout the open area's and only want these being used. We will have roped off areas in yellow caution tape those areas are off limits to pull in and park. Second rain cancels our event I will post an update here and on our above Facebook page if we need to cancel. I will post a go no go reply here by Friday morning.



Important Notice: Ailsal is closed due to road damage per the park ranger and is not passable from the Solvang side at this time. There are multiple trees down and right before the park the road is washed out just east of the park. Even if you get to the park you will not be able to get to the entrance from Ailsa Road. Please take Hwy 101 to the park.

Watch for road closures with the following in mind:

Alisal Road in the best of times goes through from the 101 side all the way to Los Olivos. However, it is my understanding that this road is closed on the Los Olivos (northeast) side, but is open from the 101 side (southwest) which is our access to the park.

Coming up from the south, San Marcos Pass Road (CA-154) will be iffy after the coming week's rain, though a gorgeously-full Cachuma Lake is the reward if you can take that route!

Probably lots of facebook and other pages feature photos, but I'll just post a couple.

Mainly I want to thank the organizers for the usual bang-up job of making this SO easy and pleasant for all who attended!

I don't know the count, but I'm guessing maybe 150 cars, lower this year with rain and other considerations, but the usual great variety and creativity in the cars, the prizes, and the trophies!

With all the rain, the waterfall was spectacular!

I always thought some Brasilia models looked like the 412, but having two near each other and darn near the same color made it clear!

Both unusual models, thanks for the owners to begin them out this year! All we needed was an SP2 to complete the Leiding Nose Crew!
