I find it amusing that it has a Sliding door as a feature, as well as a cassette player and Carb’d motor that will never pass emissions in a lot of states. I wonder what was under the body and Re spray, I hope the buyer is cautious.

It looks like our Zeitgeist had a hand in bringing this van to it's current state, from the auction chatter: i

@ausbran the gauge install, along with all of the other work (engine, suspension) was performed by Zeitgeist down here in the South Sound area...Zeitgeist here in WA built/installed the engine. |

There were numerous inaccuracies expressed in the ad and comment sections. I don't think anyone intentionally prevaricated, but the seller didn't know much about the subject matter. It's a unicorn for sure, but an ongoing project unicorn to be clear. I thought it odd that they didn't mention the van was originally delivered with an Oettinger WBX6, which is Unicorn plus material.
For the record:
I didn't perform any suspension work, nor did I install the diesel heater. The engine also was a used unit (not rebuilt), but with fairly low mileage. I had nothing to do with this sale, nor did I know it was taking place. |

I see four owners, that's not bad with a 31 year old vehicle.
Supposed to have been sold within the same family for whatever that's worth.
Seller claims good service records, which seems to me the more important info. _________________ Currently:

....and bid to $19,255 - not a lot of love for this one - perhaps the end of camping the season played a role?? _________________ 1991 Westfalia EJ251, 1972 Volvo 1800 ES |

Not a BaT Van, but a 1992 (?) Syncro Doka - white, 2.1 WBX manual with a questionable '24K' miles and a suspect respray - looks awesome from 10 ft:
