when you're using a header- on an as 41 case 1600 single port engine with a dog house shroud- would you run the tube straight from the heater box to the shroud?

I do on mine because I don't have a stock muffler. I have a tri mil.
I think the stock mufflers have a connector pipe to go through the tin.
I have a dual port motor

Correct. Not paper though. I've used aluminum successfully.

Stainless steel,

A little trimming and bending to get them in place,

Then added the SS FS tubes to the lower SS heater box connectors,

The SS tubes don't deform, crush, or burn through.
They really never need replacement. Cool

I just put a set of those CSP extensions on my Bug and they are AWESOME.

I also noticed my aluminum flex hoses had worn holes in themselves where they went through the shroud. The extensions will solve that problem.

Those are nice looking.

Technically (from the factory) there was a grommet on the hole in the breastplate tin. It is available but I used two lengths of 4mm vacuum hose, slit down the length.
Worked a treat !

Good luck ... stay safe

The vacuum hose is a better idea. I've used the grommets but they just press in there and then slide right up out of position for me driving around.

Thanks for the link. I did not realize those were over in Europe so the shipping price is the same as the purchase price! But man is it tempting! I have a friend in Germany that does import/export to the USA so I may contact him and see if I could get some stuff put in one of his containers. I really like those mufflers and fresh air tube combos!

CIP1 carries the CSP hoses for much more reasonable shipping!! I got them for my '74 Super w/a dual-riser Thunderbolt header (Haven't fitted them yet though).

I was on cip1 site for several hours today and I covered the entire heater and exhaust sections and I did not see them? I saw all the other hoses but not these. I will look again and do a search by name.

Yep, I went back there and searched by name and sure enough, there they are. Same purchase price but much cheaper shipping plus I already have a bunch of stuff in my wishlist to get so I just added them in. Thanks for the tip!
