I have installed an electrical style sending unit in my 67 fuel tank to go along with my electric VDO gauge. This cover will not fit! Is there a particular yr cover that matches this sending unit?
Thanks |

The purpose for the cover is to help secure the mechanical cable in place and protect its movement, it is rather part of the sending unit assembly.
Electrical sending units have no external moving parts so no cover is needed. If you don't have a stock style cardstock trunk liner sitting on top of it and are concerned about something rolling around and shorting it out, then put some electrical tape over the wire connection, or use an insulated spade crimp terminal on the end of the wire as I did here:

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |
