Hello

Getting ready to put a hurst bus shifter in a buddys 70 bus thus i was reading up on the spacer plates needed. Now in this archive post you can see that there are two sizes of spacers:

http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/manuals/hurst_bus_shifter/hurst-bus-manual.pdf

What im looking to know is what years used the 3/8 spacer, what years used the 1/4 spacer and were there any years that these shifters just droped in?

P.S. i dont have a bus so I have no clue what year the depth of the shift rod changed.

Thanks
ccp

3/8" for 66' and later
3/4" for 65' and earlier
Or, stack the beetle plates-
4 plates=3/8"
8 plates=3/4"
