With little to no information on 1998-2010 motor mounts
I'm here to see what i can figure out.

Ive been told that the engine mounting brackets are the same on all bodys
mk3 mk4 mk5 meaning the VR6 1.8 1.9L and 2.0T are the same brackets
Correct me if i am wrong.

Just looking for some insight based on a swap option..

Thanks in Advance.

Modifications to the car or engine aren’t necessary if you make your own mounts, or you can purchase them premade. Here’s one example…

What is the application? Mk1 mounts are spacific. you would need to custom make mounts or buy some from a company. Mk2 or 3s, you can use the mk3s k member and moter and trans mounts to fit a VR (2.8, 3.2 or 3.6) or 1.8t onto a mk2 or 3. Mk4 and newer VRs hang on the frame rails but have bolt provisions for the mk3 motor and trans mount ( if your usong tbe 02J trans). If you are putting a mk4 02M in a mk2 or 3 a custom bracket is needed and available for mount trans ( you also need to cut the K members mount for the 02M trans and move it back 15-25mm)

Hope this helps.
