Installing some aftermarket 911 style wide fives on a beetle. The rear wheels need 1/4 spacers to keep from rubbing. Will using spacers require I use lug bolts or studs with nuts or will both work.

Thanks

Studs make.it easier to mount the tire but either will do the job

Does your car have a disc conversion up front? It looks the part on my monitor. The reason I ask is if so, maybe spacers to bring the rears out a little to match.

When using spacers, I like to drill and tap two holes, so I can use a flat head machine screw to mount them to the drum. Just makes life easier down the road.
