|
|
Hey All,
On my Buggy I'm using dual single barrel EMPI EPC-34's through a center pull low style throttle linkage. The carburetors don't have an electric choke which makes cold starting in cooler temps a bit of a challenge. The engine does start and runs well once warmed up.
Eventually I want to replace them with carburetors with an electric choke but can't seem to find a model that works with the linkage / intake setup.
What options would you recommend?
About the engine:
- VW 1600cc with EMPI twin port heads
Thanks! |

CB Performance has 34mm Solex dual carb kits with chokes.
Both Empi and Scat use to have them in their catalogs, nothing now, appears CB is the only ones. _________________ Joseph

Thanks for the reply, this would be exactly what I'm looking for!
Sadly CB Performance didn't have stock, hopefully they're back in stock soon.
What are the part numbers on the carburetors? Maybe there's a set for sale without the kit. Have everything else, minus the carburetors. |

I have a set of barely used kadrons with chokes, I'd consider letting go of. If you're interested, I'll post a few pictures. |

$375 shipped. These were new 4 years ago. Only run long enough to break in the cam. The buggy then sat in a garage for 3 years until I purchased it last year.
