My Aug '52 domestic market split has the more rounded mirror like a Zwitter or oval:

Is that correct for a late split, or would they have had this version right up till October when they introduced the Zwitter?

I know VW sometimes changed things when ever they wanted. Good example is the fuel tank on my late Split, which correctly has the small 60mm filler spout (introduced in July '52 I believe).
