Hi folks: I am looking to replace the 6V battery in my 1952 Zwitter, and am wondering if anyone might have some up-to-date guidance as to which 6V battery available to purchase new nowadays would be a good replacement (preferably a model that is low-profile and won't touch the rear seat springs). Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide! Best regards, Tom

If you want the low profile 19L you may have to order it. Oreily’s had a 6 volt but not the low profile when I was looking for one. I did wind up ordering one through bulbs and batteries. They didn’t have one in stock and had to order it through Deka if I remember. Deka makes a great battery. It took about three weeks. Sometimes they have a batch ready to go. If they don’t they will make it for you. At least it’s fresh.

I wanted the red top AGM but they had an even longer wait time and they really don’t fit since you have to lay them on the side.

The 19L has been perfect in my bug for a long time. The price has soared in the last 2 years: was $114 @ O'Reilly's in Jan '21. But good news is I typically get at least a decade out of one
