Over the years of collecting VW bits & pieces, I've acquired some sun visors, mainly NOS items from closed down VW dealers, but have never really got around to identifying what's what. Now's the time!
In the 1st picture is a rectangular one, part number 113-857-551, which I read somewhere is up to July 1959. If so, what year did this type start?
The 2nd picture shows visors with eliptical bases, but they don't have the original cardboard sleeves like that seen in picture 1, and so I have no idea of their application, or part number. Does anybody know what are these suitable for please? |

The top visor was introduced during the 1954 model year and I believe it is '54-'55 only. Earlier visors had a plain bottom lip and had a tendency to warp.
1956-57 had the angled frames and '58-'59 were larger overall. _________________ Thanks,

The last three are 58-59. Top one is a 54-57.. _________________ 11/2/54 L227 Strato Silver Ragtop - Soon to be L41 Black - Build Thread
