Just seeing this thread. I'd definitely purchase one of the switches if the offer is still available. Will message Heimlich. |

Once I get enough people together (10 people) I will order them by air express. Then I will pack them up immediately and ship the day I receive them. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

How about a little more info than that? Perhaps a review? What seems wrong with the switch?

That is just a regular 58-67 replacement unit. The mounting hole does not line up with the hole in the oval dash so you have to drill a new hole to match the one on the switch. Ive done this on every other oval Ive had but cant bring myself to drill a hole in the dash of my vert. _________________ Grapes of Wrath $200 Engine Rebuild

Thank you for the info. I'm still in early body work stage so I could drill a hole ... But I'd prefer to keep things og.
I'd be down to buy one. If this ends up happening, someone please PM me. |

I will admit the overall feel is 'lightweight' compared to a factory unit. Still better than some of the other ignition switches on the market. Opening it up to rekey will tell the truth. When I rekey other repro switches some just crumble when pulling out the ring.
Ill install in a bit and think it will feel better once mounted.
