What other specs ? displacement and fueling?

We love big valves, but they have to be matched to the build.

Well my plans were to build an okrasa but ..I'm just gonna stick with building my own vw 36hp hemi heads after all like I have been planing ..yes hemi heads ...my all time dream engine is the porsche type 367 engine I'm obsessed with that engine/ motor ....I want a challenge so I'm gonna keep the build to 1100cc yes I know why so small build ....I will be going 64x75 the porsche type 369 1100cc used a bore of 73.5 with 38x31 valves ...the heads I have I can get 40x32 valves with a 75 bore I can also just go with 38x31 valves but was wondering would I benefit with the bigger valves compression I'm looking at will be 9to 1 or 9to 5 ... there are some folks who would say big valves are not good for a 1100cc but yet porsche was successful with there big valve heads ..honda 400t motorcycle heads use a 3 valve 2x 26mm intake 32 exhaust that would be 52mm intake vs 32mm exhaust with a 70.5 bore if they were successful with there heads why not a 40x32 valve head on a 75 bore ...

Seems like you're really starting from scratch on this and would take some math to work out optimum combo. That 40mm intake is half the size of your bore. I guess cam and rocker geometry is going to figure it pretty big for this project.

40mm intake valve feels big to me, but I couldn't even guess if that is a benefit due to that intake /exhaust port design or what...

Thats quite a task you have put on yourself. But stay with the 38īs. They are more than enough for 1100 cc
