It would be nice if there was a way to lock all threads that are more than 5-6 years old. Every once in a while some rookie will dig up a 10 year old post to add some pointless dribble. Many time the OP is long gone and won't be back to see or respond to new posts. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

Sometimes it's helpful to continue an old topic.
If you find someone "grave digs" a topic for no reason, hi REPORT or PM a moderator. _________________ Glenn

Also, from an administrative point, it's an easy way to catch spammers. They love to gravedig.
But, yes, hit report if it seems useless, we'll take a look and remove bs posts. _________________ Donate to TheSamba.com

Yes - Please REPORT it as this will help us keep things clean.
Yes - If it's a new question related to the topic, it can make sense.
We try to remove anything new on super old threads that didn't add anything useful like "Thanks for the info!"
Or people post to ask the original guy "Do you have this for sale" when they haven't visited the site in years... plus this is the sort of thing that should be done via private contact.
Sometimes people do a search and pop 4-5 old topics with same question too - Multiple posts like that are annoying and are removed when seen.
If it's some weird short post like "Great info!" sometimes it's a spammer so if you notice it's a new user too, definitely hit Report so we can check it out. _________________ How to Post Photos

I know there can be good reasons to continue an old thread. It is the grave diggers adding some worthless BS that can be annoying.
Thanks for mentioning the report button. _________________ 2017 Street Comp Champion - Thunder Valley Raceway Park - Noble, OK

The "real" problem is when you're the 3rd or more person to reply to an old topic you generally don't realize that it's old. I got into the habit of looking when the topic was started, before clicking on it, so I know if its an old topic or not. _________________ Glenn

There's really no reason to do a search for old posts on a topic, if those old posts can not be updated with new and relevant information. I'm inclined to think there should be a lot MORE digging up, and adding to, old threads.
A worthless add to an old topic is a worthless add to any topic. _________________ '67 bug: seized by the authorities

A five year post about a 50 year old car doesn't strike me as "old" or irrelevant! |

New and/or current info to an old post is definitely Ok. _________________ How to Post Photos
