I'm looking to have built for me a beetle flatbed pickup. I would prefer it on a 1970 + pan and a later dual port engine.

If anyone has any information please let me know.

use a type 3 or 4 engine with the flat fan so it has a usable bed.

I am looking to have someone build a flat bed pickup like this or someone that might have one already built for sale.

I have always loved mini-trucks and when the Beetles were all around I recall a few in my area back 40 years ago...

Here is one I found that looks like it actually can be used as a little truck too...

This is my favorite pic of a very very early VW truck here...

Here is a company that sells a kit for a pickup

Hope this helps you out.

I agree with "vwuberalles" that a pancake motor is the logical choice for beetle trucks. There is a brief note on that at my post: "Beetle flatbed truck" on this forum.
Additional info can be found at https://idlehandsshop.com/
I am currently selling the truck, if you are interested. It was a fun build and works well, but I need room for more projects

Hey Rusty,

Thanks for the info and pictures, that's a really nice build. Unfortunately I am in negotiations with another party to build one.

If things don't workout I will contact you and hopefully for me your flatbed will still be available.

thank you again
