Excellent build. Thank you for posting.

I’m curious about your seats. What make and model are they??
Did they attach to your existing rails?

Also, are your fuel lines custom made??

Thanks, John

Working great! Took a bit to get the pump primed but puts out very nice heat.
I will need to install a downpipe on the muffler though. 😎. The kit comes with a 10L tank which i hated. Too odd shaped to work for me so i changed to a 7L tank that fits much better.

I will be painting the heater cover black. 😳

Really nice work! I am reinstalling an original heater in my Thing. A lot of the holes in the Frunk were fiberglassed and hidden. I have found all the heater related ones, but how is that forward facing evap line from the canister running through the Frunk? I can't figure out how (where) it passed through to get under the chassis?

Thanks,
Bill

There’s a hole beside the fuel tank underneath the heat shield for the heater exhaust.

I was looking for where the evap line ran. Don't think I would want to route it through the hole for the heater exhaust, that might get a bit warm Smile

I did find that i could route it through the hole for the heater fuel line and fuel pump wires. That seems to work out pretty well.

I wrapped my exhaust with the header wrap. Helps reduce some of the heat in the Frunk

very nice install there Paul.

Maybe a good suggestion for the Things with missing heaters.

Shame they don't make a gasoline one to use the Thing fuel source but you made it work! Applause

This one's gasoline but trust me you don't want to pay what it cost, I probably should have bought a diesel one also.

Yeah. The webasto is nice but very pricey. I’m still going to go through my eberspacher heater and seeif it’s serviceable.

Trying out a Tri-Mil sidewinder on Thing 2. Hangs lower than i like but is still not lower than the bottom of my engine sump. Sounds good and does run quieter and smoother than with the Tri-Mil bologna tube exhaust. Will know more when i get some drive time and tuning done. 😎

I may shorten the chrome tip.
