I've bought two sets of wires (one for my Bus, one for my Fastback), and they fit so badly they are unusable. I'll (privately) work with the suppliers to find out the problem.
Bur has anyone else noticed how badly they fit the plug stud, and also the rubber rings on the shroud? Some are molded into the boot and do not fit. Some put so much resistance against shoving it on the plug end that they pop off. Just unusable!
I guess I'll start hoarding boots and resistor SP connectors, and but wire to make my own? Jeez, this is frustrating. |

Yes, the quality of spark plug wire is not CRAP.
I've been using Beru wires lately. _________________ Glenn

I'll post photos later of what I see as the problem, allowing for the possibility of "operator error" (but I don't think so!).
Related question: since the non-resistor Bosch plugs are getting hard to find (yes, I know other brands have alternatives), I ask if it's a problem to have resistors in the plugs as well as the bakelite SP connectors? Should I try to find non-resistor connectors? Who makes them? |

generally one does not want a resistor in the rotor, wires, connectors, and plugs too. Having the one in the rotor and just one other is enough. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

Rockauto use to carry Denso brand that were 7mm and fit in the plastic holders. The still have other sets that are good for good prices.

A little while ago, I had to go through similar frustrations with available wires. Here's what I posted at the time
