I’d say that just depends on the day of the week the auction ends. But I’d say swred/white and turkis are the most desirable. And then due to rarity mouse grey. Less buyers for the MG but a lot less of them to go around. The buyers are shifting too, so many honestly have no clue what they’re buying and just get caught up in the moment. The lotus white deluxe sold for 205k simply bc Nascar driver Bubba Wallace got carried away and was determined to win it. Well apparently so was the other bidder. Bubba lost that bid and a week later bought a comparable condition mouse grey 21 for half the price that had previously been on BAT with a reserve not met end.

I agree with Graysvws - The earlier colors just aren't as popular at auction, even the larger Barrett-Jackson/etc auctions, regardless of condition. |
Begs the question then, what are the most popular colors for a deluxe. Looking at BAT it seems turkis blau Weiss is the winner followed by SWR/BG and then Sea Blue/blue white. |

the pearwood veneer is gorgeous on this bus. It even has a couple of water bottles and the chandelier
This bus is less than a month younger than Daniel's SO35.
Brandon- it would be cool to see this one lined up with yours and Daniel's. _________________

I've never seen those style truck mirrors mounted on the front like that. I know it is all the rage now with the big modern tour buses. _________________ Prosit!

It has the chair too!! You see it in one of the videos, he puts it in the closet. It's been recovered but definitely is the og chair.
Although it's missing the tent(s), the folding chair and chandelier are probably tougher to find?
You should buy it so we can do that! _________________ Brandon |

Oh Snap! I haven't watched the video yet.
I concur; finding a tent is way easier than finding a chair or chandelier. I wonder if the OG material is under those seats?

Yeah, I’d probably ditch those mirrors. Although knocking out the door pins to install correct mirror arms might prove to be a PITA. It took roasting them with a torch, the tool, plus a big hammer and lots of curse words to finally drive them out on my 13w. If they’re love locked like that on this Westy , a lot of paint will get destroyed in the process. Which is probably why it has those clamp on mirrors. |

They are VW mirrors, but I've only seen them mounted on the doors.

It didn't leave the factory with a turkis emblem. _________________ .

In the textual description the owner states repainted in 1992. |

It does seem like flipseats should have belly pans, but they don't (at least all of the one's I've ever looked at). I personally know of a handful of flipseats here in So Cal and none of them have or came with belly pans.
They could have been ordered on ANY bus as an option. I owned a 67' so-42 that had them from factory. _________________ Brandon

Definitely a cool Westy. Too bad they painted it but that was the 90's so...
Flipseat arms painted Turkis are interesting.
Lower rear cargo door hinge looks bent in.
Front door cards are next level.
What's up with the pipe running thru all the tent mounts?
Turkis fabric on cargo doors?
Interior kit is in amazing shape.
So yes, I would make sweet sweet love to it every day and twice on Sunday. All you wankers piss off while I bid on this beauty.

what he said
It’s not perfect, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed easily. Looks like they actually used it for it’s intended purpose. |

I had a closer look: my early April 64 Westfalia has belly pans and they are mentioned on the m-code plate (191), so not part of the Westfalia camper equipment (361). |
